Hello everyone! Today I am going to review the Jing Gong G36C AEG short barrel assault rifle. This is a great little gun that packs a lot of punch into a small, easy to use, easy on the wallet unit. Out of the box this gun is rated for 350 fps, about 10+ rounds per second and 180 feet maximum range. Accuracy is fair, due to the short barrel. Heavy ammo (.25g) fixes most of this although you do have a trade off in velocity. The gun is constructed of heavy duty ABS plastic, has a metal gearbox, adjustable hop-up, and it is entirely upgradeable (to over 500 fps I have heard).
My brother and I have had our G36s for almost a year now and I love it! I have a flashlight and red dot scope on mine greatly improving low light capability and daylight accuracy. Of all the guns our group has, the two G36s have been the most consistent, reliable and sturdy. We play in all conditions ranging from muddy, to dusty and even snow. All weather capability is included with these fantastic little weapons. They are almost impossible to break and the bang for your buck is insane! These guns will compete with weapons that cost twice as much.
All that being said, they are not quite perfect. There are two weak points on this gun: the fuse and the battery. My brother and I have both had scattered incidents with the fuses on our guns jiggling loose and losing power right in the middle of combat. While I have not tried any solutions yet, I think a little electrical tape may fix the problem. The only real problem with the 8.4V battery is that it is easy to fry unless you have a smart charger. We ruined one with less than one hour of overcharging. It is also not quite up to the needs of the gun. I have heard that a 9.6V battery nearly doubles your fire rate. One more thing to keep in mind is the stock iron sights. They are tough, but vague. A large rear aperture gives nominal accuracy at longer ranges, although it makes your field of view much wider in CQB.
Overall, this is a great gun for anyone who is just starting, on a budget or looking for an upgradeable CQB weapon. Make sure you buy eye protection and extra mags though! Have a nice day!

Welcome!
Howdy everyone and welcome to Combat Airsoft Baker! We are a (very loosely organized) group of youth in the Baker City area of Oregon. We originally started as a group of homeschoolers and have since expanded to our friends from all over the area. We love to get together and play airsoft, talk a little smack, goof off and generally have a good time. On this blog, I will keep you updated on our activities and events, review weapons and gear and even write about tactics from time to time. Be sure to check back often!
